Musical profile of arpan rakshit:

Student of music under the guidance of guru Shri Agnibha Bandyopadhyay since 2009. Learning synthesizer under the guidance of Shri Pratap (Baby) Roy since 2012.

Education:

Passed M.A in Rabindra Sangeet with 1st position from Rabindra Bharati University in the year 2013. Pursuing Ph.D from Rabindra Bharati University in the year 2014.

Skills:

Playing instruments like synthesizer.

Basic knowledge of Indian classical music.

Ability to teach music in both English & Bengali.

Present Designation:

Currently working as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Rabindrasangeet, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

Publications:

1. An article entitled "Boichitrer Anginaay Premer Gitilata-Rabindra O Salil Sangeet" in the ISSN Journal Antarmukh.

2. An Article entitled "Swadesh Pujar Rittik - Rabindranath O Salil Chowdhury" in the Magazine Atmakatha Sharadiya 1425 (Bengali).

i. Achieved 1st position in Rabindra Sangeet from West Bengal State Student & Youth Festival (Borough level) in 2006.

ii. Achieved 2nd position in Rabindra Sangeet from West Bengal State Student & Youth Festival (District level) in 2006.

iii. Achieved 1st position in Rabindra Sangeet from West Bengal State Student & Youth Festival (Borough level) in 2007.

iv. Achieved 3rd position in Rabindra Sangeet from West Bengal State Student & Youth Festival (District level) in 2007.

v. Enlisted as B+ graded artist of Rabindra Sangeet by Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata.

vi. Enlisted as B graded artist of Rabindra Sangeet (General) by All India Radio, Kolkata.

Other Achievements:

Solo Performance in notable programmes of various TV channels like Tara Club (Tara Music) in 2013, Gaaner Surey Antomil E (DD Bangla) in 2013, Mon Jaago Mongolaloke (MON channel) in 2015, Aaji E Probhate (Rupashi bangla Channel).

Regular performer of the much appreciated programme "Pratidiner Rabindranath" telecasted on CTVN channel since March 2018.

Conducted various prestigious programmes on Rabindra Sangeet like the celebration of Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at St. Xavier's Collegiate School (As an assistant of Guru Shri Agnibha Bandyopadhyay) in 2015, Basanta Utsav at South City Residensial complex in 2016, Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at South City Residensial complex in 2016.

Performed in various prestigious stage programmes of Rabindra Sangeet e.g on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of the legend Smt. Suchitra Mitra at Rabindra Sadan, organised by Rabitirtho Praktoni in 2015, on the occasion of 154th & 155th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore at Jorasanko Thakurbari, Bangla Sangeet Mela in the year 2011, 2015-16 & 2016.

Performed in various presitigious albums like "O Alor Pathajatri", A Tribute album on Salil Chowdhury in 2015, Mayurer Moto Naache Re (Rabindra Sangeet) in 2014.

Performs every year at Rabindra Sadan since 2012 on Kobipokkho organised on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore by Rabindra Sadan Kolkata & Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal.

Solo performance in two Rabindra Sangeet compilation Mp3s 'Sutro Gitabitan' in 2011 & 'Parampara' (along with the legendary Smt. Suchitra Mitra & Shri Agnibha Bandyopadhyay & 100 other singers) in 2014.

Recently a solo album comprising of 10 songs of Tagore named "Mon Bhese Jaay" has been launched from Golden Voice Entertainment Ltd. under the music arrangement & direction of Guru Shri Agnibha Bandyopadhyay.

Performed in TV Programmes & telefilms telecasted at 24 Ghanta Channel "Laaglo Je Dol" on the occasion of Doljatra in 2016 & "Debi Aschhen" on the occasion of Mahalaya in 2015.

Performed Rabindra Sangeet in a programme of Radio FM Channel 92.7 Big FM named 'Khaas Koushik Er Songe' in 2015.

Worked as a Floor Assistant for the Project 'Prothom Alo' telecasted at 24 Ghanta Channel on the occasion of Bengali New Year in the year 2015 where the performers were Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Srikanto Acharya, Agnibha Bandyopadhyay, Srabani Sen, Rupankar, Jayati Chakraborty, Saheb Chattopadhyay & Rabindra Bharati University team.

Worked as a research worker for the programme 'Salil Sagare' - A tribute programme on the Birth Anniversary of Salil Chowdhury telecasted on DD Bangla on 19th November 2016.
