Prakriti means nature. All the songs under this parjaay refer to diferrent aspects of the nature.
There are two hundred and eighty three songs under prakriti parjaay. All these songs are further sub-classified or sub-classes into seven upa-parjaays. They are Sadharan, Grisma, Borsha, Sharat, Hemanta, Sheet and Basanta. In detail, nine songs under sadharan, sixteen songs under grisma, One hunderd and fifteen songs under borsha, thirty songs under sharat, five songs under hemanta, twelve songs under sheet and ninety six songs under basanta. These sub-classes were created by Rabindranath himself with songs specified for each upa-parjaay.
