Tatwabodhini Patrika, the journal published from The Adi Brahmo Samaj, had been publishing appreciations for his songs on a regular basis. Such a number reads –
… Brahmo people thronged on the wide courtyard of the Tagores' abode on the cold morning of thirteenth Maagh. … The mellifluous voice of the Master poet struck the melodic note with the song 'Tomari Naame Nayono Melinu …'.
It also mentioned that his nephew Hitendranath Tagore accompanied him on harmonium.
