Amiya Tagore, wife of Rabindranath’s grandson. In fact she was married to Hridindranath, son of Hitendranath, son of Hemendranath, elder bother of the poet. She was a prolific singer of Rabindranath’s songs. In her book ‘Surer Aagun’ she has said –
... He had once visited the farm house at Khardaha. I went to see my Rabi-dada-moshai with others. He asked me to sing a Hindi song. I took the song ‘E Dhwani Charan Parasat...’ in Purabi composed in Ara-theka. Later when we were about to leave he summoned me. He had derived a new song having listened to my song just once – ‘Ki dhwani baaje...’. He helped me to pick up the song immediately. I had reproduced the song on the occasion of Maghotsava that year. ...
