English lyric of the song

Bone jadi phulto kusum nei keno sei paakhi
Kon sudurer aakash hote aanbo taare daaki
Haaway haaway maaton jaage, paatay paatay naachon laage go
Emon madhur gaaner belay sei sudhu roy baaki
Udaaskora hridoyhora na jaani kon daake
Saagarpaarer boner dhaare ke bhulaalo taake
Aamar heyay phaagun brithay baare baare daake je taai go
Emon raater byakul byathay keno se dey phnaaki

English translation of the song

When flowers bloom in the woods,
Why the birds be absent.
Where from should I call it back,
Which horizon, I lament.
The wind has become frenzy,
Leaves merrily dancing -
Amid a gorgeous symphony
It is the one left alone.
Someone must have tricked it
From the seaside forest,
With the sad and touching tune
Rendered at its best.
Earnest call of unveiled spring
Sadly goes in vain,
Why does it abscond a night
So high in passion.
- Translated by Anjan Ganguly

The forest is finally blooming, why that bird is not seen
How do I call him back, from which horizon
The breeze is intoxicating, there is a rhythm in the leaves
In such melodious time, only he is not seen
There might have been a call, heartfelt and melancholic
Beyond the sea and the forest, he might have been deceived
And so, in my heart, the call of the spring is in vain
In such night and overwhelming sadness, why is he absent
- Translated by Sumita Chakraborty
